Relief Precedes Healing
Relief Precedes Healing is the relief-first principle at the heart of Lay Down Now: address pain or suffering first, creating room for what comes next.
Healing, in the recovered glossary definition, means improvement in current baseline health compared with an earlier baseline. Regained ease, function, and gradual improvement belong to that meaning.
Relief can create room for rest, attention, learning, and a more workable day. Its value is immediate even when an underlying condition remains. Getting Better at Living Sick develops that distinction; Capacity and Personal Bioschedule asks what becomes possible with the capacity available now.
The founder's conviction is explicit: “If you follow the Relief Recipe, you will feel relief.” It is retained as the intended promise behind the work, while universal outcome wording remains for publication review.
Relief Recipe prepares the experience. Baseline Enhancement explains how relief and contrast may reveal familiar discomfort. Felt improvement and biological repair remain different claims; the principle does not require treating them as interchangeable.
